Histology lab- inspired soap
In April, we celebrate LaboratoryWeek and here is our histology-inspired soap,
As a histotechnologist, this stain is special to me.
The pink and cream swirls mirror the Hematoxylin & Eosin stain every histotechnologist knows by heart. Pink stains the cytoplasm, muscle fibers, red blood cells. Purple stains the nuclei, cartilage and other structures.
And the scent? Blood orange and lavender — a nod to D-Limonene, the xylene substitute that replaced the smell we all secretly got used to in the lab.
This soap is an example of science you can lather up with.
Each bar is handcrafted in small batches with skin-loving oils and nourishing butters, working together to create a rich, luxurious lather. For added beauty and benefit, we may include ethically sourced, skin-safe clays, mica, and botanical colorants.
Scent: Blood Orange and Lavender
Ingredients: Olive oil, coconut oil, palm oil, shea butter, castor oil, water, lye, and mica for color.
This soap ships after a 4-week cure.
Ingredients may vary by bar. Always review the complete ingredient list before use, especially if you have sensitivities or allergies.
