Our Story
Tiger Lily Creek Co. was founded by Ezanya — a Louisville-based maker, mom, and histotechnologist, with over 10 years of experience in anatomic pathology and roots deep in Cross River State, Nigeria.
That combination is not an accident. It is the brand.
In the lab, Ezanya works with wax every day — embedding tissue in paraffin, preserving what the eye cannot see, revealing what is hidden beneath the surface, because in pathology, what something is made of matters. That same precision, that same commitment to knowing exactly what goes into every formulation, is what she brings to her creations, every bar of soap and every candle she pours in Louisville.
Growing up speaking Lokka — her mother's language from the Yakurr people of Cross River State — Ezanya carries the scents, sounds, and stories of West Africa into everything she creates. The Leboku harvest festival. The smoky warmth of suya at night. The bright tartness of zobo. The market in Nigeria. These are not just inspirations. They are acts of preservation.
But our stories don't stop at one culture. We are curious about the world — Korean food and movies, American hospitality, Parisian mornings, the warmth of a shared kitchen anywhere on earth. Good stories, like good soap, transcend borders.
